Stay healthy with UV-Aid
UV-Aid's ground breaking patented technology helps prevent the common cold, flu, sore throats, and ear infections safely and effectively by stimulating the body's immune system to kill bacteria and viruses in the ear, nose, and throat where infections begin and then maintaining good health through the production of antibodies and memory immune cells. UV-Aid helps prevent viral infections of all types including the Corona Virus or COVID-19. This is what we know: COVID-19 is very deadly, maybe 10 times more deadly than the common flu, can live on surfaces for days, is transmitted through the air, and is very contagious as multiple and large clusters are forming on a daily basis. One reason why the virus is so dangerous is that in some cases it incubates for days or weeks before showing symptoms in patients. Reportedly, COVID-19 surrounds itself with fat or lipid cells to shield itself from the immune system. This is the same immune system that every potential cure is banking on to stop this killer. If a vaccine is developed, it will depend on the human immune system reacting to the vaccine to build up defenses in the form of plasma cells, antibodies, killer T cells, memory T, and B cells and a litany of other tools the body has at its disposal once it can identify the nature of the pathogen which is this case is the novel corona virus.
How UV-Aid Works: COVID-19 is more difficult for the immune system to detect and kill because of its lipid outer shell, but the lipid outer shell in turn makes it more susceptible to UVA radiation. UVA radiation via lipid peroxidation acts to weaken the defenses of COVID-19 by breaking the methylene bridges(-CH2-) in the lipid cells that surround the virus. The lipid cells while effective in shielding the COVID-19 from the immune system act as an effective "electron band gap bridge" allowing UVA (with lower band gap energy vs UVB) to weaken COVID-19 via a cascading effect releasing free radicals from the breaking of the lipid's methylene bridges.
Third, UVA radiation enhances T lymphocytes motility in skin. T lymphocytes possess intrinsic photosensitivity and play key roles in the innate and adaptive immune systems helping the body ward of pathogens like COVID-19. The subsequent creation of adaptive immune cells are based on interactions with live viruses in human cells. This contrasts with traditional vaccinations that utilize dead, weak, or partial viruses grown in non-human cells to elicit an immune response. However, UV-Aid may be used as an effective therapeutic and/ or adjuvant with traditional vaccines as well. This process also works on all types of viral and bacterial infections. Also, of significant importance, this process is all natural with minimal side-effects. UVA exposure is ubiquitous. The human body is well adapted to UVA exposure especially at the low exposure levels associated with UV-Aid. To date, the only side effect commonly reported from UV-Aid usage is a slight discharge from the nasal area.
Since the COVID-19 is effectively transmitted through the air, the respiratory system is at high risk. Using a directed beam of UVA light in the nose, throat, and ear helps weaken the pathogen and keeps the immune system on high alert and greatly increases the likelihood that the COVID-19 does not go undetected before it caused a full-fledged infection. UVA light has been proven safe on skin by multiple independent studies. UVA treatments are reimbursed by Medicare, NCD Section 250.1, delivering exposures over 1000x greater than those required by UV-Aid. When UVA light is directed into the nose, mouth, throat, and ears, (4-5 second exposure per nostril and ear, 5-10 seconds for mouth/throat) the human immune system reacts to this and sends its full complement of local immunological defenses. UV-Aid technology has demonstrated over ten years to be highly effective in preventing a broad base of airborne bacterial and viral infections from occurring. PLEASE NOTE: UVAid DOES NOT USE UVC or UVB LIGHT. THE TYPE OF LIGHT UVAid EXCLUSIVELY USES IS UVA LIGHT. UVA IS IN OUR NAME UVAid. How UV-Aid Works
UV-Aid's light helps the body kill germs in the ear, nose, and throat where infection starts. Areas of skin exposed to UV-Aid produce hydrogen peroxide through a process called photo-oxidation. Hydrogen peroxide works to attract and activate white blood cells as first reported by Harvard Medical in 2009. White blood cells are a key part of the body's immune response providing immediate and long term defense against infection. In a recent study published in Nature (December 2016) it was reported that other white blood cells called "T helper cells" located near the surface of the skin are activated by wavelengths of light emitted by UV-Aid. T cells work in the short term to fight infections and signal other white blood cells to the area of infection. T Cells called memory cells continue to work to long term to keep the body free from infection. Click on the picture below to play video explaining how UV-Aid helps keep you healthy.

How to Use UV-Aid
To use UV-Aid for Nasal and Ear Passages, simply place the light in close proximity to the opening of each nasal and ear passage for approximately 4-5 seconds each. For the Mouth/Throat, place the light in close proximity to the mouth and wand around for approximately 7-10 seconds (expose to the oral cavity is longer due to the increased area). You may want to use a mirror to help you direct the light to the cavities. Do not look directly into the beam and do not exceed recommended exposure times.
Application of UV-Aid can be done as a preventative measure three or four times a day, or after you have been in an enclosed area with people who have the sniffles or are coughing, or when you feel a cold or sore throat coming on. Customers report instant relief from sore throats and itchy nasal passages. After applying UV-Aid to your nose, you may experience slight discharge from the nose. You may also experience a tin-like taste in you mouth after irradiating your mouth and throat. These minor side effects are positive signs the hydrogen peroxide is being produced. Symptoms usually last for less than a minute.
UV-Aid emits UVA light that stimulates the production of hydrogen peroxide which attract white blood cells that in turn kill germs. This natural process is perfectly safe on skin and only works on the invading bacteria and viruses and does not affect the surrounding cells. Researchers from Harvard University were the first to discover that hydrogen peroxide also acts to signal white blood cells to the area to fight germs and help prevent the onset of disease. The number of documented viruses is nearly 5000. The estimated number of undocumented viruses is in the millions! Antibiotics do not work on viruses, vaccines are required, and a single vaccine works only on one virus. The common cold is caused by hundreds of different viruses. The costs associated with developing even a single vaccine are staggering and if the virus mutates the vaccine is ineffective. On the other hand, the process of photo-oxidation produces hydrogen peroxide that in turn attracts white blood cells that effectively kill or disable harmful viruses and bacteria. UV-Aid provides a safe and effective way to help protect you from air-borne pathogens that make you sick. Buy Now!Relevant Studies

Does UV-Aid use the same type of UV light used to sterilize toothbrushes and other instruments? No. The type of light used to sterilize objects like toothbrushes is UVB and UVC light. UV-Aid only uses UVA light which has been proven to be safe and effective on the nose and skin.
Does UV-Aid help prevent diseases? Yes, UV-Aid helps direct the white blood cells to parts of the body susceptible to germs that cause sickness,
Is UV-Aid more effective than washing your hands? Hand washing will always be an important defense against disease. UV-Aid kills germs in areas of your body that are hard to reach such as your nasal cavities where diseases fester and start.
Is there proof UV-Aid works? Many scientific papers have been written on photo-oxidation, the production of hydrogen peroxide from the skin's exposure to UV light. Recently, many researchers have confirmed the role hydrogen peroxide plays in marshaling the innate immune response. In addition, the germ killing abilities of hydrogen peroxide are well known. UV Technologies sponsored laboratory studies have shown a dramatic decrease in bacterial colony counts when human skin is exposed to UV-Aid light.
Why hasn't anyone thought of this before? Kevin McGuire, founder and President of UV Technologies has over twenty patents related to UV, daylight, and other light sources. He developed UV-Aid after suffering from multiple colds every year in Western New York after unsuccessfully trying all the traditional treatments like, Vitamin C, Saline Sprays, and over the counter cold products.
Will I get sunburn from UV-Aid?No. UV-aid uses UVA rays. UVA rays do not burn the skin, only shorter UVB rays burn the skin. UVA rays are safe.
Is it safe for children?Yes, if you follow the suggested exposure limits. UV-Aid exposes your child to much less UV than if you took a stroll with them outside. There is also growing evidence showing increased incidences of ear infections in children with less sunlight exposure.
When should I use UV-Aid? Use UV-Aid before you go out in the morning, before you go to bed, and other times throughout the day when you feel youve come in contact with someone who is sick or if you feel any tickle in your nose or soreness in your throat. Do Not Use More Than 4 Times a Day. Also wash or disinfect your hands as UV-Aid cannot help stop infections caused by germs transmitted from the hands to eyes.
How does UV-Aid help prevent ear infections? The inner ear has one of the highest concentrations of melanin in the body. Melanin produces hydrogen peroxide. We recommend using UV-Aid on ears as a matter of practice to help prevent ear infections.
Is it safe to shine it in my eyes? No. We do not recommend you shine any form light in your eyes, but in the event you accidentally shine the light in your eyes, the amount of UV your eyes are exposed to outdoors is many times the UV emitted by UV-Aid.
Do you guarantee it will work? Good hygiene, rest, and good eating habits supplemented with the use of UV-Aid is the best way to remain healthy. Good health is achieved with a proper balance of all the elements.
When should I use UV-Aid? Use UV-Aid before you go out in the morning, before you go to bed, and other times in the day when you've come in contact with large crowds or with someone who is sick, or you feel a tickle in your nose or throat. Do not use more than four times a day and use as directed.
How do I know if my UV-Aid is working at optimal strength? You should change your batteries every 4-5 months with regular use. Shining UV-Aid light on the cut out it was packaged in is a good safe measure of light strength.
How long is my UV-Aid guaranteed for? We guarantee UV-aid for one year except for batteries.
What is the best way to administer UV-Aid? We recommend using a mirror in your bathroom, in your purse, or car to confirm accurate aim of the UV light, otherwise with practice you get better without a visual aid.
Are there any side effects? Occasionally you may get a tin-like taste in your mouth or discharge from the nose or you may sneeze when irradiating the nose. These minor side effects are reminders UV-Aid is working.
Can I get reimbursed by my health insurance company for the cost? No, not at this time
In addition to helping prevent colds and flu, can UV-Aid help prevent bad breath? Yes, the hydrogen peroxide created with UV-Aid address areas in your nasal passages that liquid mouth washes cannot get to.
